10 Mar 2010
Ali Akbar Rafsanjani, chairman of the Assembly of Experts and Chairman of the Expediency Discernment Council, said yesterday in a meeting with a group of students representatives: “We are clearly in a situation where tolerance, calm and rationality are needed to help us further. We are in a position we really need to get out of, and I have suggested ways to do that. I will do my best to make the situation better.”
On the difficult situation Iranian society is in, Rafsanjani said: “We need to think and act logically and rationally to solve this situation. All of us: the leaders, the intellectuals and scholars, and the people. If we do, Iran has much potential: human and natural resources and a geopolitical position that can give us a bright future.”
