Ayatollah Sadighi declared during Tehran’s Friday prayer that by arresting Abdulmalek Rigi (the leader of Jundallah, an Islamist Sunni rebellion group based in the southeast of Iran), America’s hegemony and image have been damaged. He said: “Some people within the country have been supporting the terrorists. Some have been killed and other who are suspected of betraying the Revolution will be destroyed if they don’t express their regret.” He warned the countries in the region to stop supporting Jundallah and individuals like Rigi who are fighting the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Meanwhile in Mashhad, Alam Alheda, leader of the Friday prayer, accused Iran’s Mousavi of being opposed to the state and said: “Protesters who shouted ‘down with velayat faghih‘ on the streets actually declare hate against God and our Prophet and Ahl-al Bayt (Mohammad’s daughter Fatemeh and the 12 Shia imams) and then someone [Mousavi] is saying that protestes are believers.”
