Tehran Bazaar remains closed

۲۱ تیر ۱۳۸۹

The Tehran Bazaar remained closed on Sunday. Some merchants who were present had the doors of their stores half shut and did not receive any customers. The carpet quarter of the bazaar was completely closed down.
State Security Forces’ patrol cars and Peugeot vehicles belonging to plainclothes agents as well as agents on motorbikes were stationed around the Bazaar and Sabz-e Meidan (Vegetable Wholesale Market). The strike, which began last week against proposed tax hikes, will continue until Thursday, some bazaaris have told Iran Focus.
